Healthy Wellington Action Group

The Community Wellbeing Action Group and the Wellington Health Promotion Network combined in June 2013, to form the Healthy Wellington Action Group.  The new group has contributed to the development of the Healthy Wellington Municipal Health and Wellbeing Plan 2013-17 and subsequent Healthy Wellington Action Plans.   The group is involved in the implementation of prevention initiatives in Wellington Shire and is guided by the action plan, which is developed annually.

This process has seen a change in health promotion planning and activity in the catchment as agencies work collectively in implementing one plan, rather than the previous approach of working together across multiple catchment plans.

The Healthy Wellington Action Group meets a minimum of four times a year. For more information, please contact Catherine Vassiliou, Coordinator Social Planning and Policy, Wellington Shire Council, Ph. 03 5142 3171 or email catherinev@wellington.vic.gov.au
